KV qualification at Caritas with an increase of 9.2 percent

The GPA and vida unions and employer representatives have agreed on this. The collective agreement applies not only to Caritas, but to 41 non-profit organizations that work in care, education, with people with disabilities or with the homeless and those affected by poverty. It includes around 17,700 employees.

Salaries will be increased by 7.7 percent, and there will also be a permanent monthly allowance of 1.5 percent. The collective agreement surcharges and allowances will also be increased by 9.2 percent.

The conclusion is a “clear signal that social work must be and is worth more,” said Alexander Bodmann from the Association of Charitable Employers. The union was also satisfied: the agreement secures purchasing power for the employees.
