Kwai removed 4 million videos globally in the 2nd half

Kwai, an app for creating and sharing short videos, released the fifth edition of its Transparency Report, which details the various actions taken by the company to strengthen its Community Guidelines and to respond to law enforcement requests for content removal and copyright-related takedowns. The document also presents the educational efforts carried out to help users keep the platform safe.

This edition of the Transparency Report covers the period from July 1 to December 31, 2023. It states that 4,252,536 videos were removed globally that violated the Community Guidelines or Service Terms of the platform. The total number of videos removed represents less than 1% of all content published on the app during this period.

Furthermore, in the same period, 577,461 user account bans (temporary or permanent) were carried out, including 443,535 removed accounts suspected of being used by children under 13 years of age.
