Kwak Yoon-gi (33, Goyang City Hall), the eldest of the Korean short track team, who participated in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, opened the ‘Oshort Game’, a parody of the ‘squid game’, and played a ‘dalgona draw’ game with Dutch players. The players left the world of fierce competition for a while and enjoyed Korean culture.

Kwak Yoon-gi released a video of playing a dalgona game with the Dutch national team during the 2021-22 International Skating Union (ISU) World Cup on the YouTube channel ‘Hold on tight’ on the 10th.

In the five-minute video, Yoongi Kwak gathered Dutch players such as Yara Pankerkov, George Dalymple, Zandravelseebur, and Dalan Hugerwerf, and gave out invitations to the ‘Squid Game’ and delivered Dalgona supplies. Kwak Yoon-gi, who started as a manager, used a water gun instead of a gun in the actual drama to watch him humorously.

The players showed great interest and enjoyed the game of Dalgona. Hugerwerf, who caught the umbrella shape, failed, but the other players with the relatively easy shape succeeded.

After the game, the players who tasted the dalgona repeated “It’s delicious”. Then, he asked questions such as “Is it a game you played a lot when you were young?” and “It’s still one of them in Korea.” Kim A-Rang (27, Goyang City Hall), who was filming the video, explained, “I did it often when I was young.”

After continuing their conversation in a friendly atmosphere for a while, they headed to their respective rooms, cheering for each other’s match to follow.

Kwak Yoon-gi wrote, “The Olympics is a festival” and “Now let’s go global!” It is a review of the Olympic spirit, which has been blurred due to the recent controversy over bias judgment.

Fans said, “It’s a global festival and they are competitors, but it’s good to see them having so much fun as friends.” “As it is a global festival, I hope you leave the competition and leave many pleasant memories.” Strengthening the spirit is the real Olympic spirit,” and showed a positive response.
