The 46-year-old actress, star of the films The Fifth Element or even Joan of Arc by Luc Besson, speaks, torn by her dual origins. “I am heartbroken and stunned by the events of this week in my native Ukraine, writes the ex-wife of Luc Besson on Instagram. My country and my people are bombed. Friends and family members are hiding. My blood and my roots come from both Russia and Ukraine. I am torn in two as I watch the horror unfold, the country destroyed, the families displaced, their entire lives lying in charred fragments around them.”
