Kyle Anderson signs with Wolves for 2 years and 18 million dollars

At the end of the contract in Memphis, Kyle Anderson has made a new start by joining the Wolves! The winger signed a two-year, $18 million contract with the Minnesota franchise. A rather well felt deal.

We wondered if the Grizzlies were going to be able to keep Tyus Jones AND Kyle Anderson this summer and the Free Agency quickly gave us the answer, there will only be one of them left in Tennessee. While the leader’s own gentleman signed a new deal of 30 million over two years to continue to support Ja Morant, the local Swiss army knife took off far from the city of Elvis. The next step ? the Great Lakes region and the Wolves. Pals Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards have offered 18 million and a two-year deal to pick up Slow Mo.

We’re going on a deal that’s not disgusting at all for Minny, who nabs an experienced, versatile player, capable of bringing a bit of everything to the field. Scoring, rebounding, creation, big defense, not to mention a real basketball IQ, Kyle Anderson has this somewhat jack-of-all-trades profile that will do good for Wolves. We should logically find him in a role off the bench and he will not have too much trouble fitting into Chris Finch’s rotation. In search of a new qualification in the Playoffs, Minnesota is strengthening with a solid role player at a reasonable price. Despite declining numbers last year (7.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 21 minutes in 2021-22) due to a diminished role, Anderson remains a fairly reliable player and a nice acquisition for the group. We would not be surprised to see him with more playing time than he could have in Tennessee. We don’t really know yet how Karl-Anthony Towns will be used next season (rather 4 or 5?) but we would be rather keen to see sequences with Anderson and Towns in the racket, a tandem that did quite well on paper. It’s up to Chris Finch to decide now.

Kyle Anderson leaves the Grizzlies to join the Wolves, it’s all very animal documentary. 18 million for two seasons is a very correct price for a player who can only help Minnesota confirm its return to the Top 8 in the West.
