In resonance with opera Cassandra by Bernard Foccroulle, La Monnaie opens its 2023-2024 season with a brand new participatory and civic festival.
All day long on Sunday, September 17, you will be invited to move and create connections by dancing to the sound of Bird. A performance by a wind quintet will follow, followed by a range of activities inside the building, including workshops designed for children.
The week is not to be outdone: until September 23, you will be able to discover artistic works that go beyond the habits of the Monnaie. Slam, poetry evening and creation of a work by a live street artist are on the program.
Take advantage of a set of artistic and civic initiatives, meetings, conferences and even films, centered on a common theme: global warming and the resulting crisis, a theme addressed in Bernard Foccroulle’s very first opera, Cassandra , on view at La Monnaie until September 23.
