The 2023 Christmas market will take place on Sunday December 3, on the Charles de Gaulle esplanade, around and in the sports hall
During the Récré general assembly, the treasurer of the association, Laure Merceron presented the association’s activity report for the period from September 2022 / August 2023. The number of the team is stable , 23 members invest themselves tirelessly to carry out the activities undertaken. They can also rely on valuable reinforcements. La Récré is still involved in two events which bring life to the village: the Christmas market in December and the garage sale at the beginning of July. This 27th edition on December 4, 2022, was obviously a great vintage. The village was beautifully decorated. In the squares, on street corners, passengers could see the decorations which always arouse so much enthusiasm and admiration from Layracais and visitors. Santa Claus descended from the sky with a stopover on the heights of Layrac, and successfully performed his performance. The exhibitors in particular were satisfied; many registered for the market on December 3, 2023. The secretary wanted to thank all their partners, the Agglomeration of Agen and the town hall of Layrac for their technical and financial support, the exhibitors and all the volunteers who contributed to the success of this day. The garage sale took place on Sunday July 2, 2023. As usual, the Récré team was present with the Collectors and ensured the running of the refreshment bar and a food stand offering sandwiches and packets of chips. This activity remains very friendly. It marked the start of the holidays.
Gift ideas
The next Christmas market is scheduled for Sunday December 3, 2023, in Layrac, Esplanade Charles de Gaulle (gymnasium site) Nearly 80 exhibitors will be present: there will be something for all tastes, all desires! You will have the opportunity to find numerous gift ideas (art crafts, decorations, jewelry, fashion accessories, etc.) and discover a wide choice of regional specialties and products. A stand not to be missed: that of La Récré! Coffee, hot chocolate, Christmas tea or mulled wine (to be consumed in moderation) will be on the menu as well as the traditional onion soup.
Activities will liven up the day (merry-go-round, face painting, pony rides, street artists and musicians, etc.). The immortal mascots will obviously be there to accompany Santa Claus’ outing.
Highlights of the day: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Santa Claus parade and distribution of 1,000 Christmas hats.
