La Rolita is the first company in the Bogotá Integrated Public Transportation System (SITP) to receive this recognition. Nearly 600 people have received training.
La Rolitacompany of Bogotá Integrated Public Transportation System, SITP, was recognized for its operators’ commitment to road safety and the management of emotions. Likewise, for the provision of a friendly and efficient service.
This certificate that was granted by the secretariats of Health and Mobilityrecognizes La Rolita for its care, emotional well-being and mental health program. The process began approximately six months ago, with a pilot plan in the town of Bolivar City.
In that period of time, the need to work with the different road actors on strategies to avoid accidents, fights and attacks between drivers and users, due to the improper handling of the various situations that occur daily on the city’s roads.
The operators of La Rolita, were invited to participate in this process, taking into account that they work in a topographically difficult area. Added to this is that it is a traditionally masculinized sector.
About 600 people from La Rolita, They have received training, information and tools to manage their emotions. The strategy includes talks, workshops, e-learning material and face-to-face sessions, among others.
This means that they are able to listen, analyze and adequately guide other people, including their family, to overcome difficult situations. La Rolita also received in previous days, the Equality Sealby the Women’s Secretariat.
