On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Yuka Tachibana and illustrated by Yasuyuki Shuri, Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu (The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent), a new promotional image was published for the second season of the project. The press release confirmed that the premiere is scheduled for the year 2023 in Japan, without giving a specific date.

On the other hand, Tachibana started publishing the light novels on paper with illustrations by Yasuyuki Shuri through the imprint Kadokawa Books from the publisher Fujimi Shobo in February 2017. The twelve-episode anime adaptation aired during the Spring-2021 (April-June) season in Japan, while Crunchyroll/Funimation took care of its distribution.

- Masakazu Ishikawa (Shinryaku!, Seiken Tsukai no World Break) handled the character design for the first season.
- Wataru Watari (Girlish Number, Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru) was in charge of writing and supervising the scripts in the first season.

Sinopsis de Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu
Since ancient times, the citizens of Salutania have lived within a blanket of miasma, a force that gives rise to monsters that wreak havoc across the world. When the realm’s Knight Order becomes unable to contain the monsters, the Grand Wizard summons a holy maiden – the legendary “Saint” – to slay the hideous creatures and restore peace. One night, when Sei Takanashi returns home after a long day at work, a magical force drags her into a strange world. Arriving at the kingdom of Salutania, she learns that the Grand Wizard has mistakenly summoned two female saints: Sei and a brown-haired girl.
Needing only one holy maiden, the prince declares the other girl the Saint, leaving Sei to her own devices. Sei sets her sights on her at the Medicinal Flora Research Institute, an establishment known for her studies of herbs and potions. As she indulges in her latest passion, Sei has a fateful encounter with the commander of the Third Order of Knights. But little does she know, her aptitude as a saint will continue to exert her influence on her new life.
