So, another drop in sales of Lada cars was recently registered. In June, AvtoVAZ dealers sold only 705 copies of Largus. In comparison with the same period last year, the demand for station wagon decreased by 3277 units. And in the first 6 months AvtoVAZ sold 8723 copies of Largus. Last year, during the same period, the station wagon was bought 21,053 times. It should be noted that the fall is associated not only with a decrease in purchasing power. AvtoVAZ has not yet fully restored production. Largus has not yet returned to the assembly line. But that will happen in the coming weeks.
It is reported that AvtoVAZ intends to ensure that 300 copies of Largus per day are assembled on the conveyors of the automobile plant during July. At the same time, certain delays in the resumption of production cannot be ruled out. The reason is that this process is complicated by the lack of components. Largus is the least localized car among the entire Lada line. But representatives of AvtoVAZ, judging by the statements, are gradually solving related problems. However, Largus, like the rest of Lada, will be produced in a simplified form in the coming months.
On the other hand, according to insiders, AvtoVAZ is already preparing to restore the complete set of the model range. The news was recently published, which indicates that the car factory will soon return air conditioning, heated windshield and a new multimedia system Enjoy Pro to its cars. Later, buyers will be offered power windows for the rear doors, fog lights, a rear-view camera, rain-sensitive wipers, automatic head optics and parking sensors. But the return of the anti-lock braking system, ERA-GLONASS and airbags will have to wait longer.
Despite the current difficulties, Largus sales may soon grow. This will be facilitated by both the activity of AvtoVAZ and the support of the government. The other day it became known about the revival of the program of preferential car loans. And her conditions have improved. When buying new Ladas on credit, motorists can count on a 20% discount. At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade expects a quick decline in prices for cars made in Russia. The head of the department noted that in a few months the market will run out of cars, parts for which were purchased at a high rate.
Note that despite all the measures taken, Largus remains quite expensive for its station wagon equipment. The basic version of the Russian model is still estimated at a minimum of 1,235,900 rubles. But a simplified version of the station wagon will cost less. AvtoVAZ has not yet disclosed all the details of this Largus modification. Therefore, it is not possible to evaluate it now. At the same time, given how much cheaper other models with simplified trim levels, a station wagon in this version will cost about 1.1 million rubles.
Recent news speaks in favor of the latter assumption. According to her, Largus will receive a less powerful engine than the one that was previously installed. AvtoVAZ is not yet able to restore the production of a 16-valve engine. Therefore, the station wagon will be transferred to 8-valve units.
