AvtoVAZ is increasing the production of Lada Niva at the cost of overloading employees
AvtoVAZ decided to increase the daily assembly rate of the Lada Niva SUV from 350 to 420 units from September 1. At the same time, the duration of the working shift will remain the same – 8 hours.
Thus, employees will have to collect 20% more cars during the same working time. According to a source at the plant, plans for welding, painting and machining will also be increased. And some shops have already been transferred to round-the-clock mode. In addition, an influx of workers is expected from other AvtoVAZ enterprises – from St. Petersburg and Izhevsk. And new employees will be immediately sent to the Niva conveyor.
Such a sharp increase in the load is caused by an increase in demand for Lada Niva after the imposition of sanctions. Even now, the plant is not coping – in just one Saturday, 1,000 cars were assembled. And incomplete Vesta continues to be completed and sent to customers. Obviously, AvtoVAZ’s management decided to increase production at any cost, even at the expense of personnel overload. It remains to be hoped that the situation will stabilize soon and the workload on employees will return to a normal level. In the meantime, they will have to work with even more stress. (photo: Lada)
