Lady Di’s personal photographer Patrick Demarchelier dies

famous fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelierdied this Thursday at the age of 78 according to international media.

The news was confirmed on social media, with a statement saying: “It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Demarchelier at the age of 78. He leaves behind his wife Mia and his three children Gustaf, Arthur, Victor and three grandchildren”.

Apparently, the photographer died on the beach in St. Barts although his cause of death has not yet been revealed.

The photographer made a name for himself by working for world-renowned publications, including Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue. In addition, he was Lady Di’s personal photographer.

He was the first non-British photographer to be hired to take pictures of the royal family, as well as taking famous portraits of figures such as Hillary Clinton and Madonna.
