Pop superstar Lady Gaga and her fiancé, tech investor Michael Polansky, have welcomed their first child together, stepping out publicly with a newborn in Northern California according to reports from Page Six.
A Low-Profile Arrival in Northern California
The Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, was recently spotted on an outing holding the newborn tightly to her chest in a baby wrap while wearing a large engagement ring, as documented by published photographs. Representatives for the singer did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the birth. The exact name and sex of the child have not yet been publicly confirmed by the family.
The couple has maintained a relatively private life since May, following a busy stretch that included promotion for the concert film Apple Music Live: Mayhem Requiem. That project followed the rollout of her sixth studio album, Mayhem, which earned a Grammy Award and supported a tour running from April 2025 through April of this year.
From a Malibu Quarantine to a Paris Engagement
Gaga and Polansky first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted kissing at a Las Vegas party in 2019. Their relationship quickly deepened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Polansky joined the singer for more than a year of strict quarantine at her home in Malibu, creating what the entrepreneur described to Vogue as an essential foundation of normalcy characterized by routine walks, coffee, and reading books together.
The relationship reached a public milestone in April 2024 when the couple became engaged, a status Gaga officially confirmed while attending events at the Summer Olympics in Paris later that summer. During those games, she introduced Polansky to then-French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal.
Reflecting on her mother’s early intuition about the match, Gaga recalled in a 2024 interview with Vogue, “My mom met him and she said to me, ‘I think I just met your husband,’ and I said, ‘I’m not ready to meet my husband!’ I could never have imagined that my mom…found the most perfect person for me?”
Fulfilling a Long-Held Dream of Motherhood
The arrival of their first child fulfills a personal ambition the artist has discussed publicly for over a decade. In a 2013 interview with SiriusXM at age 27, Gaga shared her desire to build a large family, noting she hoped to have at least three children and embrace a traditional domestic life rooted in her strong familial upbringing.

That sentiment was echoed more recently during an October appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, where she candidly addressed her personal goals. “That’s my next starring role, I hope,” Gaga told host Stephen Colbert when discussing the prospect of starting a family. Thirteen years after her initial remarks on motherhood, Mother Monster has officially stepped into that role alongside Polansky.
