Lando Norris holds fellow F1 driver Max Verstappen in high regard, claiming he is “one of the most talented drivers” to have entered F1.
Max Verstappen is on track to win his second F1 title of the year and could win it as early as this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix.
With 31 wins, Max Verstappen ranks among the top 10 most victories in F1 history.
Max Verstappen is now dominating the 2022 season, winning 11 of his 16 races so far. The last five races have been a winning streak.
“He’s doing a pretty good job. Maybe we should get in our car and see what it’s like,” Lando Norris joked to Sky Sports.
Max Verstappen’s form this year has led Lando Norris to draw comparisons to Lewis Hamilton, who dominated F1 for several years before Verstappen was stripped of the title.
“He’s done a great job. Very impressive. Much like Lewis has been,” Lando Norris said.
“He is one of the most talented drivers and one of the fastest drivers to ever appear in Formula 1. I have no doubt he will win his second title this year and more in the future. We are likely to win some titles.”
Lando Norris says he has been impressed by Max Verstappen’s ability to find the limits of the car from the start of the Grand Prix weekend.
“Even in FP1, FP2, FP3 he never goes below the limit, he always pushes the limit,” added Lando Norris.
“Even in FP1, the first lap of the day, his lap times are usually faster than in qualifying.”
Max Verstappen has a long-term contract with Red Bull Racing until the end of the 2028 season.
