Land Rover has launched its flagship SV Ultra in India at an ex-showroom price of 3.80 crore rupees. The new luxury vehicle introduces the world’s first production electrostatic sound system, a twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid powertrain generating up to 540 horsepower, and a leather-free interior featuring sustainable Ultrafabrics.
Flagship Pricing and Bespoke Exterior Styling
Land Rover has officially expanded its high-end lineup in the Indian market with the introduction of the new flagship variant. Positioned at the top of the brand’s offerings, the SUV arrives with a starting ex-showroom price of 3.80 crore rupees.
The exterior introduces an exclusive Titan Silver paint finish crafted with fine aluminium flakes and advanced pigments to produce a liquid metal-inspired look. Complementing the paint are Satin Platinum Atlas and Silver Chrome accents distributed across the grille surround, wordmarks, skid plates, and wheel inserts.
Performance Specs and V8 Powertrain Details
Underneath the hood, the flagship model relies on a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V8 engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The setup develops 540 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, channeled to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel-drive system.
Engineering refinements enable the heavy luxury vehicle to sprint from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in 4.9 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 261 kilometres per hour. In addition to the powertrain, standard mechanical features include adaptive suspension, all-wheel steering, and multiple drive and terrain modes. Although the mild-hybrid V8 serves as the sole engine option at launch, a fully electric version is scheduled to join the lineup later in the year.
World-First Electrostatic Audio and Cabin Technology
The cabin’s defining technological breakthrough is the debut of the SV Electrostatic Sound system, marking the first time electrostatic speaker technology has been fitted to a production vehicle. Instead of conventional cone speakers, the system employs 21 ultra-thin transducers with 1mm-thick membranes positioned between perforated metal plates in the headrests, seatbacks, headliner, and other speaker locations.
The setup works alongside Body and Soul Seats and a sensory haptic floor to transmit vibrations through the seat and passenger footwells. The audio hardware is paired with a suite of comfort amenities, including a 13.1-inch central touchscreen, a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13.1-inch rear passenger entertainment screen, a head-up display, four-zone climate control, and a cabin air purifier.

Sustainable Materials and Leather-Free Interior Design
Inside, the vehicle departs from traditional animal hides by utilizing a leather-free Orchid White and Cinder Grey dual-tone interior finished in Ultrafabrics. The seating surfaces incorporate laser-crafted mosaic perforations and integrated heating, ventilation, massage, and memory functions across all seating positions.
Additional cabin refinements include natural open-pore rattan palm wood veneer, gloss white ceramic controls, Orchid Pearl speaker grilles, color-matched white seatbelts, elongated scatter cushions constructed from Kvadrat Remix wool and recycled polyester, and illuminated SV Ultra-branded sill plates.
