Landslide Causes Closure of “Cairo-Alexandria” Agricultural Road in Banha due to Heavy Traffic

The road known as the “Cairo-Alexandria” agricultural road, which travels from Alexandria to Cairo, has been closed by the General Directorate of Traffic. This is due to a landslide that has occurred at Mit Barra Bridge (Banha Bridge No. 3), located in the Benha Police Department. The landslide measures 3 meters in length and width. Traffic diversions have been implemented by the traffic department. Cars are being directed to the bottom of the regional area for 500 meters, then advised to descend and return to the agricultural road after passing the landing area. Traffic services have been appointed until the repair work is completed. The Traffic Department coordinated with the Roads and Bridges Authority in the Central Delta region, who have assisted by placing technical aids, illuminated mills, and guiding signs to direct cars to the place of transfer at a sufficient distance.
