Because of a landslide, 39 people were taken out of their homes on Friday in Hörbranz (Bregenz district) as a precaution. According to the police, the slope in the Hochreute/halbenstein area was constantly in motion over a width of regarding 150 meters during the evacuation shortly following 10 p.m.
Boulders fell off and trees were snapped. The slope was in motion during the night due to the rain and the fire brigade was in constant use.
The slope was also surveyed by the state geologist with a drone. At around 3 a.m. the all-clear was given for the time being, but the slope is constantly monitored. There was no damage to the building.
