Lapsus: Ukraine: Bush condemns the “unjustified” invasion… of Iraq

George W. Bush made a huge slip that almost sounds like an admission. While speaking regarding the situation in Ukraine, the former president of the United States denounced the “brutal and unjustified” invasion of Iraq…

The American spoke Wednesday in Dallas, during a speech criticizing the Russian political system. “The result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia and a one-man decision to launch a totally unwarranted and brutal invasion of Iraq,” he said. Immediately realizing his dumpling, he quickly corrected: “From Ukraine, I mean.” Then the former tenant managed to put the laughers on his side by attributing his blunder to his age: “I am 75 years old”.

Still, the sequence has gone viral. And for good reason. Then president, in 2003, George W. Bush ordered the invasion of Iraq on a lie: the alleged presence of weapons of mass destruction in the country led by Saddam Hussein. Everyone will judge whether this invasion was “brutal and unjustified”…
