Searches carried out in fourteen different locations in the provinces of Limbourg, Namur and Liège led to the arrest of twelve people as part of a vast investigation into a criminal network. Several raids were also carried out in Spain and the Netherlands, where an arrest was ordered.

This large-scale operation carried out by the Tongeren investigating judge was part of an investigation into a criminal organization involved in international drug trafficking as well as in the establishment and organization of production sites. and storage of synthetic drugs.

A synthetic drug laboratory under construction has been discovered in Gingelom in Limburg. Weapons, money and drugs were also found in several locations. Those arrested must appear this Tuesday and Wednesday before the investigating judge in Tongeren.
