Larreta confirmed the concurrent elections despite the opposition of Macri, Bullrich and Vidal

The head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, announced today that the people of Buenos Aires will elect his successor in the PASO, which will be held on August 13, with a Single Electronic Ballot, with which confirmed the holding of concurrent elections in the districtor, despite the opposition of the PRO leader, Mauricio Macri.

Larreta confirmed through a video uploaded on his social networks that the open, simultaneous and mandatory primaries (PASO) for municipal authorities will be on August 13, coinciding with the presidential electionsalthough in the category of head of Government and legislators of the City, the porteños will vote with the Single Electronic Ballot.

«Today I want to tell you that I made the decision that the porteños vote on the same day that they vote in the national elections. In other words, on August 13 the PASS, on October 22 the generals and on November 19 the ballot, if any.“, indicated Larreta.

That avoids, he said, that “the porteños have to go to vote up to six times a year. It saves us a lot of time and saves us unnecessary expenses.”

The Buenos Aires president affirmed that “the electronic ballot also allows us to discuss the proposals and projects of each candidate focus on the neighbors and the opportunities in each neighborhood of the City.”

«I am going to support a candidate from my party, which is the PRO. In the coming weeks we will be working to define the best candidate to continue with all the transformations that we started with Mauricio and that we continue to this day”, he concluded.
