LASK is denied the license in the first instance

Due to the change of coach on Wednesday, Senate 5 denied LASK the license for the coming season in the first instance. The Linzers confirmed this on Friday.

By the licensing deadline, a club needs a coach with the UEFA Pro license. Neo-coach Maximilian Ritscher only has the UEFA A license. Thomas Darazs was entered as head coach in the ÖFB computer system immediately after the coaching change was announced.

Why LASK suddenly has two coaches against Salzburg

LINZ. In the afternoon, Senate 5 of the Bundesliga will announce the licensing decisions in the first instance.

Why LASK suddenly has two coaches against Salzburg

“We fully complied with all of the Bundesliga’s formal legal regulations at all times. After naming the new coaching team around Thomas Darazs and Maximilian Ritscher, Darazs, as holder of the UEFA Pro license, took over the position of head coach, which we immediately reported to the league. It is therefore completely incomprehensible and arbitrary that the Senate 5 made such a decision. Since we meet all the requirements, we firmly assume that we will receive the license in the second instance,” sports director Radovan Vujanovic is quoted in the broadcast.

This is how it continues

All other Bundesliga clubs received the license in the first instance, including Wiener Austria. In accordance with regulations, a written protest can be lodged with the protest committee within eight days against the Senate 5 resolution. The deadline this year is Monday, April 22nd. The protest committee’s decision will be made by Monday, April 29th. This ends the appeal process within the Bundesliga. A complaint can then be filed with the Permanent Neutral Arbitration Court within eight days.
