LASK is in a particular hurry to prepare

Due to the early start of spring in favor of an extra week for the ÖFB team before the European Championships, LASK’s first working day of the new year is on Thursday. It starts with performance tests.

LASK is in a particular hurry: On Friday, coach Thomas Sageder will start work on the field, and on Monday the athletes will travel to the training camp in Turkey, where three of the four preparatory games will take place. Things get serious on February 2nd when LASK hosts Salzburg in the cup quarter-finals.

Buyback option at Zirngast

By then the squad should have become smaller. Without additional European Cup games, some reservists in the fall will probably have even fewer opportunities to play. Even before the turn of the year, sports director Radovan Vujanovic announced an attempt to “find solutions” together with the players in the LASK podcast on “Life Radio”.

For this purpose, young players should be given a loan in order to gain match practice. A first departure is certain: Gabriel Zirngast is now attempting to play in the Bundesliga at GAK. The U21 team player was awarded to the winter king of the 2nd league for one and a half years, including a purchase option for Graz. What was not officially announced: LASK also has a buyback option for the midfielder.
