Taxpayers who wish to submit a paper version of their tax return need not delay: they have until Friday midnight to do so. Only 6 to 7% of the population still use paper, according to a spokesperson for the SPF Finances.
In case of delay, fines of 50 to 1,250 euros may be applied. The tax on the next financial year can also be increased by 10 to 200%.
People opting for an online version have a little more time since the deadline via Tax-on-Web has been set for July 15.
