The president of the Kharkov Regional State Administration, Oleg Sineguboc, reported this Sunday that Russian troops have managed to make their way to the center of Kharkov, the second largest city in Ukraine.
“There has been an advance of Russian enemy vehicles in Kharkov, including the central part of the city,” Sineguboc explained, asking citizens to stay at home.
“Please stay home. The situation in the city is very tense,” said the mayor of Kharkov, Igor Terekhov, after stressing that intense clashes are taking place in the streets of the city, according to statements collected by the Ukrainian agency UNIAN.
Cuba blames the US and NATO for provoking Russia’s attack on Ukraine
The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs has blamed this Saturday the “dedication” of the United States and NATO to continue “the progressive expansion” of the Atlantic Alliance towards the borders of Russia for being the cause of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“The military movements carried out by the United States and NATO in recent months towards regions adjacent to the Russian Federation, preceded by the delivery of modern weapons to Ukraine, which together amount to a progressive military siege, are known,” explained the Cuban diplomacy in a statement.
Cuba has denounced the “hegemonism” of the United States and NATO towards small countries, as well as the “abuses of power and injustices”, and has assured that the Russian invasion in Ukraine “could have been avoided”.
