Latam has requested authorization from Aerocivil to operate the route between Bogotá and Orlando, however, it would compete with Avianca and Spirit on the same route, in addition to the route that Viva Air already has from Medellín to Orlando.

Currently there are approximately 24 weekly flights from Colombia to Orlando and Latam expects to add seven weekly frequencies on Airbus A320 and A319 aircraft.

According to Cirium data there are 353 weekly flights between Colombia and the United States. Latam operates ten flights, that is, they have a market share of 2.8%, while offering 3.2% of the seats to the American country, according to Simple Flying.

as reported REPORTUR.coin November the Joint Venture between Delta and Latam was approved, for which the airlines launched their flight offensive to and from South America, adding 23,000 round-trip weekly seats to their usual itineraries, for which the companies have made their respective settings. (Delta-Latam: offensive of flights between USA and South America launched).

Delta’s changes are from New York to Sao Pablo, where it will operate three weekly flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy airport and Sao Pablo, increasing a daily operation. On the other hand, the Atlanta to São Paulo route will start a second daily flight in the New Year’s season, starting on December 17.
