Authors of a sluggish performance, the Red Devils won 1-0 at Fulham in added time.

Manchester United found the fault in added time against Fulham (1-0), Saturday in London, thanks to a saving goal from its captain Bruno Fernandes which partly erases another poor performance in the game.

The Portuguese leader allows the Red Devils, in a delicate situation, to temporarily move up to sixth place with 18 points, one more than Newcastle and Brighton, while awaiting the other matches of the 11th day of the English championship.

Fernandes controlled a ball that Fulham was unable to clear, put two defenders in the wind with a hook before his shot, slightly deflected, ended up in the back of the net (90th+1), in front of the visiting supporters’ yard , unleashed at Craven Cottage.

Manchester United, without Casemiro or Marcus Rashford, injured, believed to take the lead at the very start of the game with Scott McTominay (8th), but the Scot’s goal was invalidated after a long use of video which highlighted an offside by Harry Maguire.

His goalkeeper André Onana avoided even greater disillusionment with a great one-handed save on a sudden and heavy strike, then a new two-handed save a few seconds later (61st).
