Lateral entrants in schools: “We don’t do any fast-moving courses”

Education Minister Martin Polaschek (VP) announced on Tuesday that the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) would like to recruit Austria’s teachers. Austria found a different approach: career changers. As of Tuesday, 1,220 of them had applied for an apprenticeship, most of them in Vienna, Styria and Upper Austria.
