Another earthquake occurred in the east coast of Gangwon-do, where earthquakes have been continuing recently.

The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that a magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred at 6:27 am today (15th) in the sea area 59km northeast of Donghae-si, Gangwon-do.

It is the largest earthquake among the earthquakes that occurred on the Korean Peninsula and nearby areas this year.

Since the 23rd of last month, dozens of earthquakes have occurred in the waters near Donghae-si, Gangwon-do.

On the 8th, a magnitude 2.5 earthquake occurred in an area 4km southeast of Donghae-si, Gangwon-do, and more than 20 earthquake detection reports were received. This also happened.

Although the cause of the East Sea series of earthquakes is not yet known, experts believe that continuing earthquakes may lead to large-scale earthquakes.
