West Hartford, Connecticut police said they are conducting an investigation in West Hartford in connection with an officer-involved shooting.
West Hartford police said they responded to a call regarding a shooting involving a police officer around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
There is currently an active police investigation around the 900 block of New Britain Ave.
There were visibly damaged vehicles at the scene Tuesday night.
State police and the Office of the Inspector General are involved in the investigation.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area. Police said there is no active threat to the public.
