New firmware for the console released this week PlayStation 5 added, among other things, an updated shutdown screen.
The screen that appears when the system is turned off has received a new animation with many particles merging together to form two flashing white stripes of console indicator lights.
Update no. 24.02-09 also increased the volume of the built-in speaker DualSensehas improved microphone recording quality with a new AI-powered machine learning model, reducing background noise from button presses and game audio.
Additionally, the sharing screen has been updated with new interactive features. Viewers can now move the pointer and draw directly on the shared screen, for example highlighting specific objects or areas to assist the host player with navigation and gameplay. Additionally, viewers can express reactions using emoji icons, visually marking game actions. The feature is enabled by default, but the host has the option to disable it in the settings Share Screen.
