Asri Welas’ son, Gibran or known as Ibran, was recently admitted to the ICU due to breathing problems which led to a seizure or step. The current condition on Friday, June 16 2023, the child is in reverse condition.

The Meilia Cibubur hospital has handled Ibran’s illness, such as putting him on a ventilator and giving him seizure medication. Ibrahim’s current condition has improved.

“(Installed) a ventilator with anti-seizure drugs, finally the seizures stopped, thank God. After that the condition improved, the child’s selective breathing began to be active, even the airways were clean again. Spontaneous breathing was good again,” said the anesthesiologist and ICU, Luki Sumaratih, at the hospital Meilia Cibubur, Depok, West Java, Friday (16/6/2023).

Ibrahim is now able to eat and be active again.

“This morning the child can drink milk, has eaten, is active again,” he said.

“We use a 24-hour breathing apparatus, fortunately we have recovered, we decided to release it, and we are breathing spontaneously, yes, our lungs are also fine,” added pediatrician Yuni Kurnia.

Asri himself admitted that Ibrahim had never had a seizure like this before. Asri was also afraid that there was a problem with the child’s head, so a CT scan was done to diagnose the child’s illness.

“Gibran has never had a seizure. Came yesterday also at home not in a hot state. That’s why we want to find out why it can have seizures like this. There are seizures, maybe later the action we will see is to examine the nerves in his head maybe. Later we will have a CT scan then we will record the brain if necessary why this could happen. What’s more, what happened to this,” explained Asri Welas.

“We are anticipating that we can find out why there is something. In his head nerves. We don’t want anything to happen,” he concluded.
