What about the forecast?

According to official forecasts of Roshydromet, the Tobol level in the Kurgan area is expected to be higher than the maximum of 1994 – from 9 m to 10 m 70 cm (taking into account the permissible error). This was reported by… O. Natalya Astafieva, head of the Kurgan Central State Medical University – a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Ural State Medical University”.

Natalya Astafieva also noted that water from the Uy River came to Kurgan from the discharge from the Chelyabinsk reservoirs. The water that was discharged from Kazakhstan and went through Zverinogolovskoye has not yet reached Kurgan. It will reach Kurgan in the near future.

Residents are urged not to wait for the water to reach their homes, but to evacuate in advance. We wrote a complete list of areas that fall into the flood zone here.
