Fighting continues in Ukraine. Russian forces claim to have taken control of the village of Ivanivské, near Bakhmut, in eastern Ukraine, on Saturday March 23. Two civilians killed and seven injured in attacks on the Russian region of Belgorod. The capital of the Russian region, on the border with Ukraine, was hit by rocket launcher strikes which damaged several residential buildings, leaving one dead and five injured, according to the regional governor. Earlier, a drone attack in the same area killed one civilian and injured two others. “The morning was going to be difficult”Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on Telegram, adding that two districts in his region were attacked by drones.
A fire at a Russian refinery after a drone attack. “Last night, several drone attacks against regional oil refineries were committed”, the governor of the Russian region of Samara said on Saturday. The authorities do not report any casualties. “We see that the enemy who suffers defeats on the battlefield is doing everything possible to undermine our endurance and unity”estimated the Russian official.
Ukrainian drones neutralized in several Russian regions. The Russian Defense Ministry said it had neutralized overnight “12 Ukrainian drones”. These machines were located above the regions of Briansk (5), Belgorod (5), Voronezh (1), all three bordering Ukraine, as well as above that of Saratov (1).
