Dr. Manar Ghanem, member of the media center at the Meteorological Authority, reassured citizens about the weather conditions during the coming days after the country witnessed rain of varying intensity yesterday and today in most of the northern governorates of the country.
Ghanem added, during a telephone conversation with the journalist Azza Mustafa, presenter of the Tahrir Hall program, broadcast on Sada El Balad channel, today, Wednesday, that the country has witnessed a decrease in temperature values in recent days due to a deep depression in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
A member of the Meteorological Authority’s media center explained that the depression began moving towards the Levant today, which contributes to a decrease in the chances of rain falling during the past hours in the Egyptian state, expecting a decrease in the chances of rain falling during the coming hours to light rain.
She pointed out that, starting tomorrow, the chances of rain will disappear completely in all regions of the Republic, noting that an air high in the upper layers of the atmosphere will restore the feeling of sunny weather during the day.
Manar Ghanem warned of the return of water mist starting tomorrow on most agricultural and highway roads close to bodies of water, stressing at the same time that the density of mist will not reach fog as happened last week.
The meteorology member indicated that temperatures are expected to rise tomorrow, Thursday, by two degrees, to record 23 degrees in Greater Cairo, adding that during the coming days, the high will range between 23 and 24 degrees, while the weather will be cold during the night, recording 14 degrees in Greater Cairo.
Manar Ghanem advised that it is necessary to carry a jacket during the late night and early morning, as the difference between the temperatures during the night and the day could lead to colds.
