Tunisian singer Latifa revealed for the first time the reasons for her disagreement with Lebanese singer Elissa at the “Trio Night” concert, and some accused her of deliberately singing Elissa’s clip during it.
And she explained, during an interview with the media, Mona El-Shazly, on the “Ma’akum” program, that the rehearsals were recorded with audio and video, and those in charge of the ceremony watched them after this situation, noting that she only sang the clips that were put in the rehearsals.
And she continued, “I swear by God Almighty that I sang the part that was prepared for me in the rehearsal, and I did not see Elisa’s reaction until after I returned to the hotel, as I found the calls from all the people and watched the clip.”
Latifa added that there is no enmity between her and Elissa, and if she encounters her anywhere, she will shake hands with her and deal with spontaneity, as she did at the end of the concert, saying: “There is no enmity between us. On the contrary, I love her and love her songs, but I do not find an explanation for this situation.”
It is noteworthy that social networking sites were abuzz with a video of the dispute that occurred between Elissa and Latifa behind the scenes of the “Trio Night” concert, after Elisa appeared trying to go before Latifa to the stage while singing the originality of her song, which prompted the latter to ignore her and rise before her. During their segment, Elisa’s dissatisfaction was noticed when Latifa sang her piece of music instead of her, which prompted her to comment, saying: “I took my turn.”
He also monitored another video clip in which Latifa appeared laughing with Asala after Elisa forgot the words of her song, as Latifa repeated Asala’s phrase: “Aman, Aman.”
