Latvia: A conference on fair play | Inside UEFA

This annual conference is part of the collaboration between the Latvian Football Federation and the William Hill company aimed at promoting the values and principles of fair play. The Latvian Cup was renamed on this occasion: it is now called the “Latvian Fair Play Cup”.

“Most of the work done in the field of fair play and the fight against match-fixing is not visible to the general public. A conference like this is therefore not only a tool to raise public awareness of this theme; it is also a platform that allows professionals to acquire valuable information and know-how. We are addressing this issue publicly and openly in order to raise awareness and take direct action on how we combat the dangers facing the world of sport,” said LFF President Vadims Lasenko.

The conference brought together people from various roles in football and other sports as well as representatives from local authorities and gambling companies. The general public was able to follow it online.
