BEFORE returning to the Java Jazz Festival stage, next May, the Grammy award-winning musician, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Laufey, announced the album Bewitched: The Goddess Edition, which is an expansion edition of the album Bewitched, which he released in 2023.

The album Bewitched: The Goddess Edition will be released on April 26 via AWAL and will feature four new songs that Laufey wrote shortly after she finished the Bewitched album.

About the single Goddess, Laufey said, “Goddess is the most honest song I’ve written so far. I wrote it alone at the piano after I realized that someone had fallen in love with the version of me they saw on stage, and it turned out I wasn’t who they were expect when I get off the stage. That person feels that I’m not an attractive person when all my glamor is removed, and only me is left.”

Laufey, currently, is on her Bewitched: The Goddess Tour in Europe, all tickets for which are sold out. He will then head to North America in April, before finally appearing at the Java Jazz Festival 2024 in May in Jakarta, when he will be the main performer at the 19th edition of the legendary music festival.

Laufey will also appear with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra in a concert entitled A Night At The Symphony for two nights in Manila, Philippines.

2023 will be an important year in the career development of this Chinese Icelandic singer. His Bewitched album became the jazz album with the biggest debut numbers on Spotify in history.
