Launch of Christine Beaulieu’s book

After presenting “J’aime Hydro” – a documentary play on a citizen’s investigation into Hydro-Québec – at the Jardins de Métis in 2021 and 2022, the author and actress, Christine Beaulieu, listened to audience comments to launch his next book.

The result was published today: “Les salmons de la Mitis”.

The book, inspired by the play, teaches regarding science and history through the poetic journey of a salmon.

“What is fascinating is that the salmon always returns to the same river, it always returns to its native river,” explains the author in an interview with TVA Nouvelles, showing that each being returns to its sources.

Christine Beaulieu also opened up regarding the inspiration that led to both projects.

“We are the only species that is capable of acting on the well-being of other species. When I realized that, I understood that it comes with a responsibility,” she maintains.

“Les salmons de la Mitis” is available now in bookstores.
