Launching the activities of the “Your Right to Organize” campaign to provide reproductive health services in Sharkia

Dr. Hisham Masoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sharkia, launched the insignia of the activities of the activation campaign, to provide family planning and reproductive health services, “Your Right to Organize” in the governorate, from within the health unit in Bani Shebl of the Health Department in Qanayat.

The campaign is scheduled to last for 10 days, to be implemented in two phases, the first phase from 4 to 8 December, and it includes 10 health departments in the governorate, namely “Al-Qanayat, Awlad Saqr, Kafr Saqr, Belbeis, Abu Hammad, 10th of Ramadan, Deyerb Najm, Mashtoul.” The market, the Abu Omar facility, the new Salhia, and the second phase during the period from 18 to 22 December, and it includes 9 health departments: Zagazig, Minya al-Qamh, Faqous, al-Husayniyya, Abu Kabir, Hehya, al-Qurain, al-Ibrahimiya, and San al-Hajar.

And the Undersecretary, in the presence of the Director of the Family Planning Department in the Directorate, and the Director of the Health Department in Canals, inspected the work of the fixed medical teams in the campaign, the awareness seminars for women, and the health advice provided to them, stressing the importance of good treatment and good reception for all visitors to the campaign, and he also visited the mobile clinic. In the village of Tal Hawin, he praised the turnout of women and the good organization of the convoy.

“Masoud” explained that the campaign includes family planning services, reproductive health services such as pregnancy follow-up, sonar examination and women’s examination, in addition to medical examinations in the specialties of internal medicine and children, and according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention “CDC”, family planning is one of the top ten achievements in The field of public health in the twentieth century, as it is one of the main means to curb population growth, which cannot be tolerated with its negative effects on the economy and the environment, in addition to its impact on the development efforts being made at the national and regional levels.

Dr. Aida Attia, Director of the Family Planning Department in the directorate, explained that the campaign aims to provide these services free of charge to all targeted women, noting that the first stage provides the service through 242 fixed family planning clinics in units, medical centers and hospitals supported by specialist services, and 14 mobile medical clinics to ensure access Service to remote and slum areas in hamlets and villages throughout the governorate, with the participation of 110 trained doctors, 319 nurses, and 452 rural pioneers and population educators, and they were well trained in the work of the campaign, with an emphasis on the media role, and the role of rural women pioneers in implementing awareness and educational seminars, On the importance of family planning, available means, and the dangers of early and frequent marriage and childbearing, in addition to intensifying the necessary indicative propaganda for citizens, with the locations and dates of the campaign throughout the governorate.
