The Ministry of Health and Population revealed the actual steps to begin launching the second phase of the system Comprehensive health insurance In 5 governorates.
“The Seventh Day” reviews in the following points the details of launching the second phase of the comprehensive health insurance system:
1- Begin preparing the units, centers and hospitals that will operate within the second phase of the comprehensive health insurance project.
2- The governorates included in the second phase are the governorates of (Kafr El-Sheikh, Damietta, Minya, Matrouh, and North Sinai).
3- Identify the hospitals of the Ministry’s entities that will be developed and approved for inclusion within the system.
4- Develop a preliminary scenario for the total cost of the facilities that will be included so that the system depends on them for operation, to be presented to the Prime Minister.
5- Preparing an action plan for the coming period in the governorates of the second phase, which includes the axis of health and community awareness for the citizens of those governorates regarding the new system.
6- Implementing specialized training program packages, applying operating systems, training medical and non-medical maintenance crews, and qualifying them to deal with information systems and modern electronic applications.
7- Coding medical equipment and uploading it to the asset inventory and coding system linked to the National Emergency and Public Safety Network.
8- Identifying the needs for medical and non-medical equipment to be provided, along with designing the information infrastructure, and planning the mechanism for implementing electronic connectivity between facilities.
9- Developing specialized centers for geriatric medicine, by exploiting a number of hospitals within the governorates that work is underway to include them within the stages of the comprehensive health insurance project in the future, so that high-quality medical services are provided to elderly people with chronic diseases.
