The owners explain that they were forced into episodes of fire, theft, then vandalism and claim to have managed a problem of “syringes and human excrement”.
“For the sake of safety for our employees and our customers, following numerous events (…), we must temporarily suspend our operations and move them to another sector,” informed the business, popular for its lunches. , through his Facebook account.
Inflation will also have played a role in the restaurant’s business decision.
This announcement, which subtly criticizes the management of the double scourge of homelessness and drug addiction in the Village, will nevertheless console the loyal clientele, since the restaurant is looking for a new location.
“We will see you very soon in a more favorable context. We will announce our new address in the coming weeks,” it is written.
On the other hand, it seems that the relocation project is not set in stone for financial reasons in an inflationary context.
“The surge in prices makes profit margins non-existent and the obligatory investment to temporarily continue operating in our current premises, could compromise the investment necessary for our new facilities.”
Under the Facebook post, several subscribers implored Mayor Valérie Plante and the borough.
