Leaks reveal the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4 phones

New leaks revealed details about the design and specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4 foldable phones, as they reflect changes in the screen size and the design of the hardware structure in general.

A series of tweets published by technical blogger Ice Universe explained the details of the display factor of the “Fold 4” device, which will be 23:9 for the large indoor screen, compared to the display factor of 24.5:9 for the previous generation “Fold 3”, as the new device will appear in a square design, Compared to the rectangular design of the previous generation.

This will also be the case with the small external portrait screen, whose smaller size than the previous version of the device will allow for greater ease of writing for the user.

The technical blogger also confirmed that the “Flip 4” phone will come with a 3700 mAh battery, and if those expectations are true, the new phone will add an additional 400 mAh to battery life compared to the “Flip 3” whose battery provided a capacity of 3300 mAh only.

While the “Fold 4” phone is expected to maintain the same capacity as its previous generation, 4400 mAh.

Regarding charging technologies, expectations confirm the arrival of the “Fold 4” and “Flip 4” phones with 25W ultra-fast wired charging technology, in addition to wireless charging and reverse charging technologies.

It is likely that Samsung will provide with its phone “Fold 4” an upgraded rear camera with a main lens of 108 megapixels, and a zoom lens with three levels of optical zoom.

The foldable phone market is witnessing fierce competition between the various companies operating within the phone market, everyone is trying to attract different segments of users by convincing them of the added value and new experiences that they can still obtain by replacing their current phones with new foldable ones.

A study last year, conducted by YouGov, found that about 50% of smartphone users in the United States are looking to change their smartphones to foldable ones.

Samsung is the lion’s share of the foldable phone market, with a market share of 88% of its total sales in 2021, according to a report by Display Supply Chain for statistical research.

Huawei, OPPO and Motorola are racing against the Korean giant, in addition to Apple’s unremitting efforts to develop foldable iPhone phones, and expectations indicate that it will reach the market by 2024.

A report confirmed, last February, that Apple is working on a foldable iPhone, but the date of achieving this may extend to 2024 or 2025.
