The great and mythical room of independence of the Lycée technique de Bamako hosted this Friday, March 03, 2023, the official launch of the second book of Pr. Paul Souleymane DIARRA, main professor of Civil Engineering at the Lycée Technique de Bamako, entitled: “Learning the Resistance of Materials”.
The work explains the author, can be useful for the pupils of the 11th and 12th year Civil engineering, the 3rd and 4th BT as well as the 1st and 2nd year of the higher schools.
This book is composed of 3 modules:
Module 1, relating to the notification of forces:
Use the notions of force and torque;
Determine the forces exerted on a solid;
Apply the axiom of reciprocal actions;
Determine the position of the centers of gravity of the surfaces;
Exercises and corrections on forces, exercises on support reactions and others.
Module II: Graphic statics relates to the learning of graphostatics.
Module III, revolves around reticular systems: recognizing the different elements of a reticular system, corrected exercises on grapostatics and reticular systems.
After his words of welcome, the principal of the Technical High School of Bamako, Mr. Mahamadou TRAORE believes that this second book by Professor Paul Souleymane DIARRA will undoubtedly be of great use for teachers working in civil engineering and their learners. Then, he urges him to continue in this dynamic and hoping that his example can inspire other colleagues to improve the quality of their teaching. To conclude, he invites the students to make good use of this book in order to perfect their knowledge of RDM and to be among their best engineers and architects tomorrow.
Harouna N’DIAGNE, representative of the Minister, invited other teachers to draw inspiration from Paul’s work for the advancement of Malian schools.
As for Mahamane TOURE, representative of Mrs. the director of the academy of the left bank of Bamako, he will say that the Malian school would be a regional and continental reference if all the teachers were like Paul Souleymane DIARRA.
The author was full of praise for the love of a job well done and his abnegation for the enhancement of the quality of Malian education.
For his colleague Kalilou MARIKO, he brings honor and glory to the Lycée Technique. “If each of us did like Paul, Malian education will come out of the abyss,” he said.
