The Lebanese-Canadian Coordination Committee (CCLC) pointed with suspicion to “the tragedies and wars that Lebanon is being thrown into, the basis of which are kidnapping the state and attacking the state’s sovereignty.”

It reiterated its rejection of “the spread of illegal weapons, striking the principle of the exclusivity of weapons in the hands of legitimate military and security forces, and insisting on the state’s duty to impose its sovereignty over all its lands.”

She stressed “the return of Syrian refugees to Syria without delay, in order to stop any attack on Lebanon’s national security.”

After calling for “legitimate state agencies to control the Lebanese borders in a way that prevents chaos there and prevents the spread of organized crime,” she offered her condolences “from the Lebanese people, from the Lebanese Forces Party, and from the family of the dearly deceased Pascal Suleiman.” It also expressed its “deep condemnation of this heinous crime” and called on “the Lebanese state to restore its sovereignty, as stipulated in the constitution, and implement international resolutions.”

The committee said in a statement: “Lebanon faces structural and sovereign risks at a historical moment in which its institutions are destroyed and sovereignty is assassinated. This appears in the threat to the security of the Lebanese people and the exacerbation of crimes, the most recent of which was the assassination of Pascal Suleiman, the coordinator of the Lebanese Forces Party in Jbeil – Lebanon, under unambiguous circumstances.” “The full truth must be revealed and justice must be done.”

The committee added: “In this context, the Lebanese-Canadian Coordination Committee (CCLC) is closely following, and with suspicion, the tragedies and wars that Lebanon is being thrown into, the basis of which are kidnapping the state and attacking the state’s sovereignty. In this context, the committee affirms the following:

1- Rejecting the spread of illegal weapons, rejecting the principle of exclusivity of weapons in the hands of legitimate military and security forces, and insisting on the duty of the state to impose its sovereignty over all its territory without any partner.

2- The return of Syrian refugees to Syria without delay, in a way that stops every attack on Lebanon’s national security and the human safety of its people, and protects Lebanon from the dangers of malicious exploitation and bloodbath that suspicious persons may seek.

3- The state’s legitimate military, security and judicial bodies control the Lebanese land, sea and air borders, in a way that prevents tampering with them and prevents the spread of organized crime.

The Lebanese-Canadian Coordination Committee (CCLC), while offering its warm and deep condolences from the Lebanese people, from the Lebanese Forces Party, and from the family of the dearly deceased Pascal Suleiman, stresses that it stands alongside all sovereign, free Lebanese in peaceful pressure until the full truth is revealed and justice is achieved. Complete, while insisting on the establishment of a free, sovereign, just and independent state.

In conclusion, and with its deep condemnation of this heinous crime, the Committee warns against the continuation of threats, treason, silence and assassinations, calling on the Lebanese state to restore its sovereignty as stipulated in the Constitution, and to implement international resolutions (1559-1680-1701), in a way that restores Lebanon’s health and sovereignty and calm and tranquility to its people. .
