The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Abbas Al-Halabi, issued two administrative memorandums, according to which the first assigned the duties of heading the official examinations department in the General Directorate of Education to Professor of Secondary Education, Mr. Rabie Khaled Al-Labban, on a temporary basis until any measure contrary to this aspect is taken, and this memorandum shall be effective as of the date of its issuance. Any decisions or memorandums taken previously are cancelled, whether in terms of carrying out the tasks mentioned therein, or in terms of any other assignment for those who were assigned to perform these tasks.
As for the second memorandum, he assigned the secretariat of the Equivalencies Committee in the General Directorate of Education to the teacher of secondary education, Mrs. Soha Nayef Tarabeh, on a temporary basis until any measure contrary to this aspect is taken.
This memorandum shall be effective as of the date of its issuance, and any decisions or memorandums taken previously shall be considered null and void, whether in terms of carrying out the tasks mentioned therein, or in terms of any other assignment to those assigned pursuant to it to perform these tasks.
Thus, Minister Al-Halabi relieved the former head of the examinations department and secretary of pre-university equivalencies, Amal Shaaban, from her duties, after she was released last Thursday on financial bail.
