2023-05-25 08:07:25

The Minister of Tourism in the caretaker government, Walid Nassar, confirmed that the summer season will be very promising, explaining that “the figures for the summer season 2023 will exceed last year’s numbers, the indicators are positive, and the political and security stability is secured at a minimum.”

He added, in an interview with LBCI, that “as Lebanese officials, we want to reflect the correct image of our civil society,” calling on “the mayor of Sidon to reverse his decision following the Sidon beach incident, because it affects the economic growth of the town.”

And he stressed, “Lebanon is a candidate for membership of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization in the Middle East, as well as a candidate to host the session that the organization will hold in the year 2025.”

Nassar pointed out that “the agenda of the Council of Ministers includes non-urgent matters,” and continued, “However, it is remarkable that there are very important points such as the Syrian displacement and the issue of the Central Bank that are not explicitly on the agenda.”
