The HALAL bihalal carried out by the Chairman of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Rosan Roeslani at the residence of PDI Perjuangan General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri on Jalan Teuku Umar, Jakarta, on the first day of Eid, Wednesday (10/4) was appreciated.
For senior researcher at the Political Research Center of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Lili Romli, this friendship is a good thing after the 2024 election contest. According to her, Rosan acted as a younger person to build a relationship with the senior Megawati.
“For those who have eaten salt and acid in politics, it is a necessity. For this reason, other politicians should also do the same thing,” said Lili to Media Indonesia, Thursday (11/4).
He believes that Rosan’s visit to Teuku Umar also shows its own meaning. According to Lili, this was a kind of indirect message for the planned meeting between Megawati and Prabowo Subianto, who was declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election.
As Chair of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN, Rosan is considered to be trying to pave the way for the PDI Perjuangan, which emerged as the winner of the 2024 Legislative Election, to join the new Prabowo-Gibran government coalition.
“Pak Rosan as Chair of TKN is trying to carry out initial assessments to carry out reconciliation and invite (PDI Perjuangan) to join the new government,” said Lili.

Rosan came to Teuku Umar at least twice on the first day of Eid. The first visit only lasted 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the second visit in the afternoon lasted for one and a half hours. He did not provide any information to the media crew after the meeting.
Nevertheless, PDI Perjuangan Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said that Megawati told Rosan about her political experience and struggle with PDI Perjuangan. Hasto also said that Rosan did not convey a special message from Prabowo to Megawati.
“So this is pure friendship in the context of Eid al-Fitr. Mutual forgiveness and nothing related to power politics,” explained Hasto. (Z-3)
