New Orleans (Louisiana) – Basketball superstar LeBron James is getting closer and closer to the points record in the North American professional league NBA. The 38-year-old scored 27 points against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday, but he was unable to prevent his Los Angeles Lakers’ 126-131 defeat in their direct play-off competitor. James spent most of the season on the floor. He’s just 36 points short of beating Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time record (38,387 NBA points).
