New Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung said in his inauguration, “The path our Democratic Party will take is the path of reform for the people’s livelihood.”

At the first Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly today, Chairman Lee said, “People’s livelihood and reform are not different words.

“In the face of this difficult economic reality, including prices, exchange rates, and interest rates, and the crisis of people’s livelihoods, we will do our best to prevent the decline of our people’s livelihoods and improve their livelihoods,” said CEO Lee.

He also asked, “For this purpose, I would like to ask President Yoon Seok-yeol once again to formally hold a summit meeting.”

“In order to overcome the crisis of people’s livelihood and economy, to alleviate the aura of unrest and confrontation on the Korean Peninsula, and to maintain peace, the ruling and opposition parties should hold their heads in bipartisan discussions,” he urged.

“I would like to say that we will cooperate even if we do it thoroughly first, but I would like to say that we have no choice but to fight strongly against regression and dictatorship that threaten democracy and people’s livelihood,” Lee said.

“I ask once again to find a way to cooperate under appropriate checks and checks, if possible, and to cooperate under the principle of putting the people first,” he said.

Chairman Lee said, “I will focus on making practical reforms for people’s livelihood. .

“The new leadership will succeed and develop the Democratic Party of the three presidents, Kim Dae-jung, Roh Moo-hyun, and Moon Jae-in, and be reborn as a completely new Democratic Party that is evaluated for its ability and performance,” he said. We will break up and take responsibility for a better life for the people through competition to do well.”

Earlier, the new Democratic Party leadership, including Chairman Lee, started the official schedule by visiting the Seoul National Cemetery in Dongjak-dong and worshiping.
