Prosecutors have notified Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung to appear at the prosecutor’s office next Tuesday to be investigated.
He is a suspect who is accused of publishing false information during the presidential election campaign.
In addition, the prosecution has continued the search and seizure for the second day in the development process of Daejang-dong and Wirye New Town, which Lee promoted during his time as Mayor of Seongnam, and is speeding up the investigation aimed at President Lee.

Prosecutors have notified Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung to appear at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office at 10 a.m. on the 6th, next Tuesday.
He is a suspect on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act.
Prosecutors believe that Lee announced false information during the election campaign.
The first thing that came to mind was the remarks made at the Gyeonggi State Audit in October last year.

“(The change of use of Baekhyeon-dong) was requested by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and we have no choice but to respond… If we don’t do it, we threaten to take issue with it, such as neglect of duty…”
Prosecutors believe that the statement that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport threatened to change the use of Baekhyeon-dong was false.
In an interview with the media in December last year, CEO Lee said that he did not know the late Seongnam Urban Development Corporation Director Kim Moon-gi, who is the key to the development of Daejang-dong, and is also subject to investigation.

“I didn’t know that when I was in mayor, so I was a subordinate.”
After that, CEO Lee went on a long-term overseas business trip with Director Kim in 2015, and at this time, a video call that Director Kim said to his family, “I played golf with the mayor” was released, sparking controversy over lies.
The statute of limitations on election crimes is six months from the date of the election, and in the case of the last presidential election, the statute of limitations is until the 9th.
Prosecutors also conducted extensive search and seizure operations for the second day in the Daejang-dong and Wirye New Town projects that CEO Lee carried out during his time as mayor of Seongnam.
Financial companies such as Mirae Asset that invested in Wirye New Town, and Daejang-dong implementation companies were seized and searched.
It seems that the prosecution’s investigation is speeding up with Lee being aimed at Lee from several branches.
